Long weekends are reaallly great..
...to spend with the boys that is...
One of the many benefits of being a Malaysian is to enjoy 'extra' public holidays due to our multi-racial/multi-religious beliefs. We have been enjoying long-er weekends for the past 2 weeks; due to Awal Muharram & Christmas which fell on 2 consecutive Fridays.
We enjoy long-er weekends because we get to spend every single waking hours with them both; our lovely boys, Isaac & Ivan. The more recent weekend which has just passed was Christmas, Boxing Day & last Sunday of 2009!
A typical weekend would be like this :
As usual we woke up at around 6.30am, took di-di Ivan downstairs to play with his toys whilst mummy (that's me) get ready his bottle of milk. He is a very disciplined baby; he sleeps sharp at 7pm every night and wakes up around 6-6.30am every day!
Shortly after, Isaac woke up at about 7am...his current routine is to call out to his daddy at the staircase as soon as he wakes up..truly a daddy's boy...*mummy kinda jealous* Then he & daddy are off to a bicycle ride, Isaac seated securely in his brand new 'WeeRide' bicycle seat and wearing his helmet too! He is very particular about wearing his helmet & buckling up 'just like how the little Einsteins' do it.
Then we all got ready; mummy showered Ivan and daddy showered Isaac simultaneously. I love it when daddy shares the duties..hehe. Off we go for breakfast at OUG market, at this current moment, the boys' favorite food is 'chee cheong fun'. After breakfast, we either take a quick stroll at the outdoor market or go home. Then it's TV time and Ivan takes a nap at about 10.30am, whilst Isaac continues to play with his toys. If we are in the mood to go out, we will usually end up in a shopping mall with Toys R Us..where the boys get to play with loads of toys..for free! It's fun seeing them play there.
We would usually reach home around 4pm so the boys can grab an early dinner. Then the adults will have dinner. And later about 7pm, di-di Ivan goes to sleep 1st. Isaac goes to bed at about 8-ish every single day!
By then, daddy & mummy would be so very tired...but we enjoyed every single waking moment of it!!!!
