A charitable kite-flying experience

On 15th Jan 2011, we brought the boys to Kepong Park to fly some kites, which we got from a charity drive for breast cancer. Well we first thought, how difficult can kite-flying be..right?..Wrong! Firstly, we weren't sure how to tie the kite to the strings supplied..*paiseh*

Then, we tried endlessly to fly it..but to no avail. The kite never flew higher than 6ft!!

"Isaac seen here helping pa-pa launch the kite into the sky..hehe..fail also"

Finally, we broke the first kite, got out the 2nd kite & still could not fly it. We eventually sat down to admire those 'high-flying' kites & got marveled at how a young 10 year old boy could do it & not us!

De-de Ivan fell down & knocked his forehead whilst we were busy untangling the 2nd kite. Sze
Weng was very anxious and we quickly packed up to leave the place (which was nice but had massive problem with parking space & un-managed public toilets). We walked around and saw a St. John personnel, a young teenage girl. We asked her for some medication to stop the bleeding but was told that the ambulance was not there, caught up in some traffic jam. And to make matter worse, she did not have a first-aid box with her. This made me wonder, what good of her being there, standing around when she didn't even have the basic first-aid kit..! This St. John system is not working well ei...!

Nevertheless, as usual, we had a blast of fun!
