Blessed holiday to Tokyo!

Testimony from our Tokyo trip 20th - 26th Nov 2016

Before we left for Tokyo, we asked our CG to pray for us - sunny & chilly weather when we go Disneyland despite it being winter then, for snow so the boys can experience snow, protection against harm & danger + stretching our Yen.

We are truly blessed, ALL (and more) of our prayer requests came to pass. Our God is a faithful and good God, praise Him.

This testimony is to glorify Him & reminder for us of the many blessings God has blessed us with :

1) when we arrived in Tokyo, we were ushered to a brand new Alphard taxi that dropped us off right in front of the B&B, saved us time to search for the place. No issue checking in & God answered my heart's secret desire of not needing to lug around the luggage to find the B&B - God is so good 👍😊. Taxi fare was only half of what I budgeted.

Day 2 brunch at a tiny ramen restaurant near Heiwajima train station

Day 2 - visit to Shinagawa Aquarium, which was just a quick train ride away from our Airbnb... so convenient :)

2) on 22/11 the day we were scheduled to go Disneyland (DL) we experienced earthquake aftershock at the B&B. Despite that, we got ready and headed towards DL. It was a rainy morning with single digit temperature. But by the time we arrived at DL, rain stopped & sun came out. Over the next 2 hours, temperature rose higher and we enjoyed 16C throughout the day in DL. Nice chill & bright sun, perfect for being outdoor!

Day 3 at the world's happiest place - Disneyland

3) we saved much ¥¥ as we decided to cancel the plan of going to DisneySea the following day. This was a joint decision with SW as we felt the boys may be too tired to "play" 2 days in a row. Plus 23/11 was a public holiday in Japan and it would be very overwhelmingly-crowded.

Day 4 at the National Science Center, very informative & interactive place. Only sad point was that everything is in Japanese language only :(

We super enjoy MOS Burgers... wished we could still savour these yummy burgers and lobster bisque in Malaysia..sighs

4) on 24/11 we woke up to another earthquake aftershock. We prayed & we felt immense inner peace. Shortly after, the boys woke up and saw SNOW ❄️ when they looked out the windows. God is good! They experienced snow enroute to Legoland Center. Light snow but it was snow indeed. We found out much later that the last time Tokyo experienced snow was 52 years ago!! Our God is a miracle working God 👏👍
Day 5 woke up to see SNOW in Tokyo... unbelievable!! PTL!!

Day 5 at Legoland Discovery Centre in Tokyo... first time ever seen Legoland being indoor

Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo, seen clearly from the nearby shopping mall, right next to Legoland

Super cold outside the mall... and we were caught waiting at the bus stop for almost 1 hour *sad* coz I was too kedekut to take a cab... haihs mummy!!

5) on the day we left Tokyo, we managed to save ¥¥ by taking the train from Heiwajima Station direct to Haneda airport. Huge saving - train cost was only ¥1480 VS taxi cost which I have budgeted at ¥6300! Plus it was just a short 7mins walk from our B&B to the station.

6) lastly, this B&B was also a God appointed lodging. Initially I had budgeted RM3300 for lodging in Tokyo for 6 nights. Somehow God led me to this listing and we only paid RM1400 for 6 nights. Plus it was in the most strategic location, just 7mins walk from Heiwajima Station which has superb connectivity 👍👏. God is soooo good, when He opens the door of blessings, it is immensely greater than what we can imagine or ask for. Amen!

Day 6 ie last day in Tokyo... unplanned day, main mission was to look for Restaurant Kani Doraku... had yummy giant crab!

7) final count we only spent RM8600 for this trip VS what I budgeted RM10900. I still can't fathom this... RM8600 for 5 pax for 7 days 6 nights in Tokyo, one of the world's most expensive metropolitan - what a bargain! Only God can make this happen, Praise the Lord!

Day 6 last ride on the train... on the way to Haneda airport... bye bye Tokyo... we will be back!!! 🙌
