So quickly it's almost end Feb 2011

Image
2010 ended almost in a breeze. It was an eventful year with many challenges. A new chapter begins as we approach 2011. So quickly 2 months have passed and looking back, some of the highlights :  1) Hubby Sze Weng got a promotion in Feb, after only 2 months at his new job as Sales Manager in Malaysia's largest IT distribution company. This is truly God's blessings considering he's not very IT savvy..hehe.   2) Our baby Ivan turned 2 on Feb 9th - how time flies. He is such a big boy, very independent, never wanting anyone to feed him. In fact he started feeding himself from the tender age of 1.5...of course at the beginning it was a huge mess, but he never gave up! Now he has perfected the art of feeding himself. Mummy is so proud of you boy! 3) CNY 2011 - 2nd day of CNY 2011 will always be remembered in a special way. Grandma went back to be with our Lord Jesus! She was admitted to Assunta Hospital on Wed, 26th Jan. After some test, doctor found out that she had suffere...

A charitable kite-flying experience

Image
On 15th Jan 2011, we brought the boys to Kepong Park to fly some kites, which we got from a charity drive for breast cancer. Well we first thought, how difficult can kite-flying be..right?..Wrong! Firstly, we weren't sure how to tie the kite to the strings supplied..*paiseh* Then, we tried endlessly to fly it..but to no avail. The kite never flew higher than 6ft!! "Isaac seen here helping pa-pa launch the kite into the sky..hehe..fail also" Finally, we broke the first kite, got out the 2nd kite & still could not fly it. We eventually sat down to admire those 'high-flying' kites & got marveled at how a young 10 year old boy could do it & not us! De-de Ivan fell down & knocked his forehead whilst we were busy untangling the 2nd kite. Sze  Weng was very anxious and we quickly packed up to leave the place (which was nice but had massive problem with parking space & un-managed public toilets). We walked around and saw a St. John personnel, a ...

The Lim boys flew to KK, Sabah

Isaac & Ivan really love aeroplanes & to certain extent, helicopters too. There are plenty of aeroplanes & helicopters that fly pass our house in the mornings for some strange unbelievable reasons (although our house is nothing near the airports). So whenever we go cycling in the mornings, we would catch a few sightings of these air transports. With their growing interest in these air transports, both Sze Weng & I planned to bring them for a ride when we could afford it. Blessing came knocking on our doors in early Oct 2010. Due to God’s unmerited favor, I received a special bonus which is enough to bring the whole family for a short weekend holiday to KK, Sabah. After some research, reviews & sourcing around for deals that fits into our budget, we decided on Nexus Resort Karambunai, KK, Sabah. It was part of airasia.com deal and for Rm4,008 we could even bring my parents along! Quite a deal for 4 adults, 2 children on a 3D2N stay in a 5-star resort in KK…that w...
