So quickly it's almost end Feb 2011

2010 ended almost in a breeze. It was an eventful year with many challenges. A new chapter begins as we approach 2011. So quickly 2 months have passed and looking back, some of the highlights :

1) Hubby Sze Weng got a promotion in Feb, after only 2 months at his new job as Sales Manager in Malaysia's largest IT distribution company. This is truly God's blessings considering he's not very IT savvy..hehe.

 2) Our baby Ivan turned 2 on Feb 9th - how time flies. He is such a big boy, very independent, never wanting anyone to feed him. In fact he started feeding himself from the tender age of 1.5...of course at the beginning it was a huge mess, but he never gave up! Now he has perfected the art of feeding himself. Mummy is so proud of you boy!

3) CNY 2011 - 2nd day of CNY 2011 will always be remembered in a special way. Grandma went back to be with our Lord Jesus!

She was admitted to Assunta Hospital on Wed, 26th Jan. After some test, doctor found out that she had suffered a few minor strokes before that. Praise the Lord that she was strong enough to live through those stroke attacks without much side effect. On Monday, mum & Belinda suspected grandma was behaving abnormally - she was not her usual cheerful character. She was talking funny, not making much sense & had difficulty buttoning her blouse up. After a quick visit to GP on Tuesday, where the doctor only gave her some vitamins, even confirming that she did not have stroke. I felt a check in me & asked Sze Weng to send her to Assunta Hospital instead for more thorough check. Seriously, do not believe what GPs tell you, always get 2nd opinion. Her condition worsened as she stayed in the hospital. She suffered a few more minor stroke & a last major stroke + complication, she left us. That was 2nd day of CNY ie. 4th Feb 2011, approx. 4.50am. I was sleeping with the boys that morning coz both of them weren't feeling too well. Sze Weng woke me up with the bad news, it was hard for me to believe it. I could not sleep after that...memories of grandma kept flashing on my mind. Although I have only known her in the last 6 years, stayed with her for 1 year after we got married, the short period that I've known her is enough to create lasting memories of her. She was a perfect wife, perfect mother, perfect grandmother, perfect great grandmother & perfect lady. All her life, she puts her family first. If she had 100 dollars, she would save 90 dollars for her family, only using 10 dollars - this was how great she was.

Grandma, we miss you & will always remember you!!
