Blessings & jOys of being a Mother!

All I can say is what a blessing it is to be a mother..esp to baby Isaac. He's such an adorable boy and although he's only 7months old..he's actually very smart for his age. At this tender young age, he understands mandarin, cantonese & english - all from just listening to others. On thursday, we sent him off to the babysitter and as usual 'aunty' will say 'opposite meaning things' like you are a naughty boy when he actually was a good & obedient boy... well I can't quite understand the logic of speaking negative things to your kids in order to get a reverse effect on them.

To me what Pastor Joshua shared about speaking the positive makes more sense.. but I'm not about to debate this issue with 'aunty'. We give her a lot of freedom & free hand to do things her way and to discipline Isaac if need be. So far I must say she has done a great job.. what a blessing to get a good babysitter. Oh so coming back to thursday, as we passed Isaac to aunty, she harshly said you are a naughty boy ya, aunty don't want you anymore. Immediately I see Isaac's face changed and he was almost in tears already... see he understands..which reminds us as adults to be extra careful what we say in front of him..he might pick it up. Isaac is getting more & more active each day.. he sits well..rolls over non-stop when we lie him on the bed, attempts to stand up on his own and does many other 'cheeky' tricks that make me both angry and amused at the same time.. such joy!...
