Love is in the air...our 4th wedding anniversary celebration!

A quick flashback to 12th August 2006. We went for our ROM on that beautiful Saturday morning.

"Ok, that hairstyle is kinda out for me..aiks! But hubby looks great"

Fast forward to 12th August 2010, we celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary yesterday. It was a beautiful Thursday morning, hubby Sze Weng drove me to work (to a workshop @ Gardens Hotel, KL). He found out that I was not going to the office whole day that day, so he quickly informed the florist to send the bouquet of flower to me @ Gardens. He had it all planned, ordered for a bouquet of flower in early Aug, giving ample time for the florist to work on her 'masterpiece'..nice. At about 10.10am, the bouquet of flower was delivered. Wow..I didn't expect it and was very surprised! Pleasantly surprised that it is :)

"This is where we went for our 1st date, Han Woo Ri Restaurant in Ampang, tasty korean BBQ. Going back there for our anniversary makes it more meaningful"

The lovely & memorable day ended around 9pm after dinner. Went home & straight to bed...kinda a bit drunk too..coz the 'sake' was really good! Thank you darling loh kung for a lovely & memorable celebration of our 4th wedding anniversary. Cheers to more anniversaries dear! :)) And also praise to our Lord for blessing us with 2 lovely kids...and a wonderful, blissful, healthy & wealthy growing Lim family!

It's not easy for an English educated Chinese banana like me to remember how to write our kids' Chinese names..(yeah of course I know how to write my own Chinese name). Our 2nd honeymoon to Turkey 8-17 June 2010

In Ankara where it was almost towards the end of our honeymoon trip to Turkey , Sze Weng asked me “Dear, how would you rate this Turkey trip? Will you come back for more?” Without a doubt, I answered him “10/10 and YES will definitely come back, to cover Eastern Turkey !!” Turkey is such a beautiful country with majestic historical architecture dating back to Roman, Greek & Otoman empires, magnificent nature scenes and significantly rich culture, that even a rock at some hillside is at least 2 centuries’ old and superbly rich with stories. It was never our choice destination for our 2 nd honeymoon till I heard from my best friend, Joanne who came back from Turkey last year and sang praises about it. Respect for stay-at-home mothers..

A friend and his wife joined us at church today. They brought along their 5-month baby and felt immediately at ease with RLC's nursery area. She delivered her baby in March and has since left her job to be a full-time home-maker/mother/wife etc. Looking at her, I felt a strong sense of respect for her. I started asking myself "would I quit my job to take care of my 2 boys all by myself?" It's a question that I've asked myself during my 1st confinement after delivering Isaac. Then, my quick reply was NO. Financial limitation aside, I find it a really HUGE sacrifice for any working mums to take this bold step. I do not pride myself as being a workaholic... but to certain extend, I like my job & I like having my financial independence plus a strong social network which I've build across the last 10 years working in the media industry.  Confinement period/maternity leave is by far the closest I could get to being a stay-at-home mother.
